Our newest addition to the Blue Tiger Team! Stacy Korfist, LMFT, CEDS-S, CSAT-S, CDWF Stacy has worked in the behavioral health field for the past 25 years and is passionate about integrating wellness, experiential and neurobiology approaches within treatment. Her specialties include trauma & betrayal, eating disorders, intimacy/attachment disruption, sex/love addiction and rhythm-based recovery. In addition, she has a special focus on ADHD, high-conflict personalities and positive psychology. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University. Stacy has widespread experience as Administrator, Consultant and Clinical Supervisor at a variety of treatment centers and levels of care. In 1999, she became the Founding Program Director and designed the first eating disorder program for Center for Discovery, now a national organization. She was Lead Therapist at The Masters & Johnson Institute for Trauma and Dissociative Disorders at Del Amo Hospital in the mid 1990’s. Subsequently, Stacy has served at four eating disorder programs and numerous substance abuse/mental health treatment centers. If you’re a friend of Blue Tiger Recovery you already know a lot has been happening here. We’ve essentially completely recreated ourselves into one of the most comprehensive programs for sex addiction and compulsive sexual behavior, as well as substance abuse – not only in the Coachella Valley but anywhere. You may have already noticed the new website, reflective of all the changes we’re introducing. If you’re in the industry you already know Sexual Recovery Institute (SRI) in Los Angeles closed recently leaving a vacuum in the availability of treatment for compulsive sexual behavior and sex addiction. So, our expansion was fortuitously timed, as it turns out, to be able to pick up where SRI left off. In fact, some of the SRI staff has come over to work at Blue Tiger, including intake director Bill Owen, CADC II,   and primary therapist Gregory Pospisil, LMFT and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT).
